I believe in Truth

I believe that truth is like the sword...
and that it can be used for the greatest conviction and movement of the human heart

But.

also think people use it as an excuse to claim righteousness
an excuse to judge and the err on the side of fundamentalist principles


I want to err on the side of love
I believe that truth is love.
simple.

truth is truth and the law is written.... but
God is love and we are to be love to the world

we are not the law and we are not enforcers of the law

yes we are to tell people about Jesus and in close companionship offer loving criticism and word to help us grow


and when it comes down to it I'd rather speak love than a truth that is meant to convict but rather imposes judgement and shame




Lord forgive my pride
forgive my need to be right
may i listen more and speak less
"seek to understand rather than to be understood."
I feel so hypocritical right now



if I ever get the "I'm right" attitude please correct me
especially when i come down on others

we are all human and sinful. "not one does good"
Christians are humans too.
we judge when we are not judges and speak when it is not our turn

God intercede here, let your love reign
