So, a constant theme in my life as of recently has been South Africa...

I traveled to SA to visit friends last fall, and lived with an afrikaans family for a month...

best experience of my life.

most amazing risk I have ever taken.

South Africa is like a sneaking shadow that finds its way into my conversations,

my art, my school, my coffee shop, my friendships... my food.

Sometimes I think I am just imagining it.

but truthfully,

SA has been in so many little corners of my life recently its absurd.

and i love it.

anyway I stumbled upon Zwelethu Mthethwa's photographs today on Larissa Leclaire's blog.

stunning.

He has recently been published in Aperture magazine, and it is a dream of mine to intern for him, maybe he will let me sweep his floors one day :)
